Serving Leaders

Community forums, board retreats, and problem- solving meetings, designed to meet your specific requirements, is our focus. We use tools such as Open Space Technology, consensus building, and action planning to achieve highly participative, fast paced, and productive meetings. We understand your need for a high ROI (Return on Investment) on the time and cost of every meeting. Part of what we do is coach you to develop your internal capacity and facilitate effective and efficient meetings without an outside consultant.

Read what people say about the outcomes of their meetings and our facilitation methods.

One of our key tools is Open Space Technology (OST) -- an effective, powerful, precise, inexpensive, and results- oriented approach to managing problem-solving meetings. It is applicable to any meeting when the issues are tough, the people are diverse, the potential for conflict is high, "the" answer is not known but it was needed yesterday morning, and the participants need to be a part of the solution.

We initially became interested in OST as a fast, cheap, simple and effective means for our
Policy Governance clients to communicate with their ownership. Now we know it works for any organization facing real issues and opportunities. Facilitating Open Space meetings allows us to help people make a difference in their organization, their community and the world.

Read what the San Bernardino Sun had to say about, and their editorial regarding, the OST community forum we facilitated at Sun Lakes in Banning, CA and then call us to decide if OST is for you and your unique challenge.

Hanna & Associates also coaches boards of directors, and their staff, in John Carver's Policy Governance model. As part of this service we coach organizations making the transition from conventional board activities to this results-oriented approach to governance.
